ANNUAL VOCAL SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION

The Central Maryland Chorale's annual Vocal Scholarship Competition showcases some of the finest vocal talent among high school seniors in the central Maryland/Washington DC metropolitan area. Contestants must be graduating high school seniors (age 16-19) who plan to pursue vocal music studies in college and must have studied voice privately or in voice class for a minimum of six months before the Competition.

Award money must be used toward vocal study and applied to college tuition during the following fall semester. Winner’s certificates are presented at the Competition and a check in the award amount is sent to the college or university of choice upon proof of matriculation.

Each year CMC is immensely gratified to see the Competition become stronger as the level of accomplishment of these young people seems to increase. We are very grateful to be able to play even a small part in furthering the education and careers of these wonderful artists-in-the-making.
